These are programs specifically designed for children ages 3.5 to 5 and take place in schools, daycare centers, preschools or even church basements. They are 40-45 minutes in length and are sure to capture your childrens' attention. The children also perform experiments, participate in demonstrations and have a take home item at the end of each program.
What happens when we mix things together? Everyone will be awed as we kick off our fun, chemistry-based workshop with an erupting volcano and exploding colours. As Junior Chemists, children will combine common household ingredients to create cool reactions. They will investigate density and colour mixing before making Mad Science Crazy Dough to take home.
SEA, SAND & SURF:
On their journey to the Mad Science beach, Junior Oceanographers will wet their feet in the deep wonders of ocean life. Children will investigate a variety of shells and sea creatures. We’ll make waves to better understand erosion and students will make their own Ocean in a Bottle to bring home.
Take your class on a trip through the solar system where they will learn all about the elements of space. Sign up for the “Mad Science Space Mission” as we investigate the cosmos. Students will make their own Mini Rocket to take home with them.
DIGGING FOR DINOSAURS:
Dinosaurs are always a huge hit with children! They will be introduced to the differences between meat eating and plant eating animals and will have the opportunity to look at dinosaur teeth up close. They will also work as paleontologists by participating in a mini dinosaur dig that will engage their attention as well as their scientific skills. They will be taking home a Dinosaur Tooth Fossil that they make on their very own.
SCIENCE OF MUSIC:
Good vibrations will ripple through your classroom as children experience the wonders of music. The highs and lows of various musical instruments will be revealed and children will discover the music in them when we pump up the volume to create a musical masterpiece. The music will live on when they make their own Musical Jingle Bracelets to take home with them.
During this fun workshop, children will discover where their food comes from and investigate what foods they need to stay healthy. Everyone will get a rise out of our bread making experiment. Children will learn how to keep their teeth clean and will make and take home a Meal Planner to help them make healthy food choices.
KEEP IN TOUCH:
This hands-on look at the sense of touch will inspire children to learn more about the world around them. Your children will identify mystery objects, learn the incredible science of nerves, investigate right- and left-handedness, and discover the uniqueness of the human thumb. The children will make and take home a Feeling Handy Card to continue their experiments at home.
During this fun & hands-on workshop children will test water’s strength and will be amazed as they watch it rise through our stackers. It will be sink or swim for our friends Eggbert and Megg as we introduce density. Everyone will make and take home a Glitter Tube to show off what they have learned.
