**CAMP BEHAVIOUR EXPECTATIONS**
At camp, our priority is to provide a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where every child can learn, explore, and enjoy their experience. To ensure the well-being of all campers and staff, we ask that parents review the following expectations with their child before attending camp.
*Camp Expectations*
All campers are expected to:
*Treat fellow campers, staff, and facility users with kindness and respect.
*Follow the directions and instructions of camp staff.
*Participate safely in activities and use equipment appropriately.
*Keep their hands, feet, and objects to themselves.
*Use respectful language at all times.
*Respect camp property, supplies, and the belongings of others.
*Remain with their group unless given permission by a staff member.
*Behaviour That Will Not Be Tolerated*
The following behaviours are not acceptable at camp:
*Physical aggression, including hitting, kicking, biting, pushing, or fighting.
*Bullying, harassment, intimidation, or repeated unkind behaviour.
*Threatening or abusive language toward campers or staff.
*Deliberate destruction of camp property or the property of others.
*Refusal to follow staff directions when it impacts the safety or enjoyment of others.
*Behaviour that creates an unsafe environment for campers or staff.
*Behaviour Management*
Our staff use positive behaviour guidance and will make every reasonable effort to help campers make appropriate choices.
Depending on the situation, staff may:
*Provide reminders and redirection.
*Discuss expectations with the camper.
*Remove the camper from an activity for a period of time.
*Contact a parent/guardian to discuss concerns.
If a camper's behaviour is serious, poses a safety risk, or continues despite staff intervention, parents/guardians may be contacted and required to pick up their child immediately. In cases of severe or repeated inappropriate behaviour, the camper may be removed from the program for the remainder of the day, week, or camp session without refund.
We appreciate your support in reviewing these expectations with your child before camp begins. Working together helps ensure every camper has a safe, positive, and memorable camp experience.
