Space Travel

In Space Travel children will participate in discussions & experiments designed to introduce the concepts of propulsion, thrust, action/reaction, aerodynamics, rocket construction, stages of rocket flight and more! Children will create their own Model Rocket that they can display for all. For our grand finale, the children will watch a thrilling Rocket Launch from NASA.

Che-Mystery

Children discover the mysterious wonders of chemical science. They learn the difference between physical and chemical changes through exciting, hands-on investigations. They see acetone reduce foam to a puddle of goo & watch water turn into juice. The class will get their hands dirty with a non-Newtonian fluid and use household chemicals to create a volcanic eruption.

Fantastic Fliers

Fantastic Fliers flies children through flight and aerodynamics basics. Together we discover the four forces that affect flight. Children make & test various flight designs including a Rotor Kite that twists & an unlikely-shaped aircraft that shoots through the sky. Finally we build the Delta Dart Plane and fling it forward adjusting the elevators and a rudder to make it turn, spin and loop.

Sonic Sound

In Sonic Sounds music & all sorts of sounds engage children in experiments and demonstrations showing the properties and transmission of sound waves. Children will learn how sound waves fill our ears with vibrations that send messages to our brains. They will identify acoustic sounds from a variety of materials, and create their very own Quacker that produces sound using friction and vibrations.

Science of Toys

This fun-filled workshop is an interactive introduction to the Science of Toys. Children will ponder and test the inner workings of their favourite toys while discovering the science behind each of them. An investigation into potential and kinetic energy will allow your children to understand how toys move. They will then use what they learned to create their personal ball-catch game.
