Our Workshops are Curriculum Correlated

Mad Science curriculum workshops meet and go beyond provincial standard requirements. Our programs encourage an inquiry-based learning environment. Students will have the opportunity to learn through engaging demonstrations and hand-on activities. All students will make and take home an activity that relates to one of the topics discussed.

Happy Customers

Here's what teachers have to say about our workshops!

Interactive, fun, educational, and the kids could do it mostly on their own! also really liked how the instructors enforced the hand raising rule so not all the children were talking over one another. Great program, and worked quite well virtually!

Engaging and knowledgeable instructors, well facilitated by both moderators, the daily activities are interesting and my child learns something of value with each lesson. Well worth it!

Reem D

The experiments, the teaching, the instructor, the time of the jr course, the materials mailed to us, the notebook. Everything!

FAQ

Do the students take something home from a workshop?

Yes! At least one take-home activity is part of every curriculum workshop. The activity is built during the workshop and relates to one of the topics of discussion. The students will also receive a journal that can be kept in class to supplement the workshop or taken home.

The Mad Scientist will arrive and sign in at the office before school begins, or at lunch for afternoon workshops. Please let us, or the school office, know where our Mad Scientist should set up.
