STEM Odyssey
(Gr. 1-6)
Children will not believe their eyes as they learn how optical illusions work and watch as light & colour interact, tricking their sense of sight. They will learn how magnets are used in everyday life. The basics of sound will be revealed & they will be shocked with how electricity works. We will wow them with polymers where they will get to create their own Mad Science Putty.

Fantastic Forces
(Gr. 1-6)
Examining the world children interact with is an ideal way to explain scientific principles. Students will learn all about the science of flight and the forces that are involved. They will discover the scientific principles of magic and see how almost everything can be explained. Reasoning skills will be put to the test as they become Junior Engineers, building and testing structures.

Crazy Chemworks
(Gr. 1-6)
Welcome to the world of chemistry! Children make gooey slime, experiment with different reactions, and learn to use the tools that chemists use. Polymers and catalysts are only two of the fascinating concepts young scientists explore in this thrilling trip through the chemistry lab!

Science Surprise
(Gr. 1-6)
Students test their forensic skills as they become super sleuths. We explore the amazing world of insects, learning how these fascinating creatures live. Each child will construct a propeller driven race car as they learn about the power of mighty machines. We raise the curtain on the mysteries of movie making and special effects. Students explore the wild world of weather making a UV keychain.

Schoolhouse Chess
(Gr. 1-6)
In this chess program, we bring the game pieces to life with vivid personalities and creative histories. Our characters accelerate the learning process and fascinate children. Students will improve their problem solving and critical thinking skills as well as their logic skills, memory and pattern recognition. Time will be allotted each week to challenge their fellow players & practice new skills.

Brixology
(Gr. 1-6)
Different LEGO® projects will be built each week, developed by a LEGO® Certified Professional. They will explore mechanical engineering as they build boats and vehicles. Aerospace engineering will come alive as they assemble a space station. From carnival rides to drawing machines, mechanical animals to truss bridges, your future engineer will build their creativity through fun design challenges.

FAQ
What is your refund policy?
A prorated refund will be made to any parent who withdraws a child prior to the second week of the program. A $25.00 processing fee will be applied to all refund requests. Refunds will not be issued for withdrawals after the second week of the program. Refunds will not be issued for classes missed by the child.
+When do I pay?
Payment is required at the time of registration. Payments through our online registration system must be made by credit card or debit credit. If you would like to pay by cheque or cash you must contact the Mad Science of Toronto office directly.
+What is your class cancellation policy due to weather?
We follow the inclement weather and school closure policy of the school boards in which we are instructing. A make-up class will be provided if a class is cancelled.
+Do you offer programs in the evening and on the weekends?
We currently offer programs in the evening and on the weekends at select community centres across the GTA. Information regarding locations can be found on our website.
+How do I know if a program is confirmed to run?
Every effort is made to ensure that programs run. In the event that a program is unable to run due to low enrollment we will let you know at least 5 days before the start of the program. If a program does not run due to low enrollment, a full refund will be issued. A confirmation and reminder of the program is sent 3 days before the start date.
